This 2012 Tamil children's comedy-drama follows Ambikapathy, a boy who flees an abusive relative and ends up living on Chennai's Marina Beach, where he supports himself selling water and snacks to visitors. Despite his hardships, he remains focused on getting an education, and his determination inspires the other street kids who work alongside him, all watched over loosely by an elderly man and a local postman. The beach setting also frames the story of a young couple whose romance unfolds alongside the children's daily lives.
