An unemployed young man is mistakenly arrested and committed to a psychiatric asylum, where he must navigate life among the patients while attempting to prove his sanity. While confined, he develops a romantic interest in a fellow patient, leading the inmates to assist him in pursuing a relationship despite institutional restrictions.
