This 2014 Tamil thriller, directed by Sripriya and starring Nithya Menen, follows a young nursing student in Bangalore whose relationship with a man she loves takes a dark turn when she is betrayed and subjected to horrific abuse involving him and his employer. Framed and imprisoned as a result, she forms an alliance with a fellow inmate that hardens her resolve, setting her on a path toward confronting the men who wronged her. The film is a remake of the Malayalam movie 22 Female Kottayam and was shot simultaneously in a Telugu version released later.
