This 2005 Hindi drama, directed by Harry Baweja and starring Ajay Devgn, Sushmita Sen, Esha Deol and Anupam Kher, follows Neel, a single father with autism raising his young daughter Gungun in Shimla while working as a waiter. Their peaceful life is disrupted when the girl's maternal grandfather arrives from abroad seeking custody of her, pushing Neel into a legal battle with the help of a lawyer who is herself a struggling single parent. The film is an adaptation of the American film I Am Sam.
