Set against the late-1980s Indian military involvement in Sri Lanka's civil conflict and the events leading up to Rajiv Gandhi's assassination, this Hindi political thriller follows an Indian army officer recruited by the intelligence agency R&AW to run clandestine operations against a powerful Tamil militant faction in northern Sri Lanka. As he navigates shifting alliances, betrayals, and a war correspondent's perspective on the conflict, he uncovers a deeper conspiracy threatening India's leadership. The story is told partly in flashback as the protagonist recounts his experiences after learning of a foreign president's assassination.
