This 1986 Tamil action drama, directed by Rajasekhar and adapted from the Hindi hit Mard, follows an unassuming man who wins over a haughty princess initially set against him. Starring Rajinikanth, Ambika and Jaishankar, it holds the distinction of being the first Tamil film shot in 70mm with six-track stereo sound, though it opened to poor reception despite its Diwali release.
