Khandan

This 1965 Hindi drama follows two brothers who inherit their father's farmland, one of whom remains childless while the other raises two sons, one of whom is left disabled after an accident. Years later, when the younger son returns home from his studies, old resentments resurface and split the household into two feuding factions, setting off a chain of events involving debt, a purchased elephant, and a scheming relative. Directed by A. Bhimsingh as a remake of his own Tamil film, the story centers on family conflict and the strain it places on its members.
