Set in Goa, this 1996 Hindi drama centers on Annie, the hearing daughter of a deaf and mute couple, Joseph and Flavy, and her deep connection to music despite the challenges of straddling her parents' silent world and her own love of song. After a family tragedy dampens her passion for music, she rediscovers it through a romance with a man named Raj, a relationship that strains her relationship with her protective father. As she builds her own family, the film follows the emotional complications that arise from her choices and her attempts to reconcile with her parents.
