This 2011 Kannada action film follows Kempegowda, an upright police officer in a small town who prefers peaceful conflict resolution but resorts to force when necessary, and who falls in love with Kavya, the daughter of a visiting industrialist. His confrontation with a powerful Bangalore-based gangster leads to his transfer to the city, where he must navigate political corruption and a compromised police force to take on the criminal's network. The film, directed by and starring Sudeepa alongside Ragini Dwivedi, is a remake of the Tamil film Singam.
