A TV cameraman still terrified of ghosts joins his colleague and love interest in filming a horror segment at a supposedly haunted beach house near Mahabalipuram, hoping to boost their channel's ratings. Their meddling with a buried nuptial chain unleashes a vengeful spirit that ends up possessing the female lead, dragging the group into a decades-old tragedy involving thwarted love, a cancelled wedding, and a family's cruelty. The story then unfolds through flashbacks revealing the doomed romance and betrayal that created the vengeful spirits now haunting the present-day characters.
