After years of renting, a house broker named Vasu finally fulfills a promise to his late father by purchasing a bungalow on the edge of town, only to discover another family already living there and unwilling to leave. As he and his friend resort to staged hauntings to drive them out, complications arise from a budding romance with the resident family's daughter and objections from his own relatives, all while an unexplained supernatural presence lurks in the house.
