A small-time thief and his accomplice, hired to steal a temple idol, end up hiding out in a household where they meet a young maid tasked with looking after the family's children. Over the days they spend together, a bond forms between the thief and the maid, even as her hidden family history and troubled relationship with her father's household come to light. As their lives become intertwined, he tries to reform himself and support her ambitions, setting off a chain of events involving her estranged family and a rocky path toward reconciliation and romance.
