This Tamil sports drama follows Kousalya, a farmer's daughter in rural Karur who is moved to pursue cricket after watching her father's heartbreak over India's early exit from the 2007 World Cup. Defying local disapproval, she works her way up from a village team to the Tamil Nadu squad and eventually the Indian women's cricket team, facing prejudice and a demanding coaching environment along the way. As she competes for a place in a major international tournament, her family back home struggles with mounting financial hardship, adding personal stakes to her sporting ambitions.
