A renowned Bengali film actor returns to his rural village after his father's death, only to find that his celebrity status disrupts the funeral proceedings and family dynamics. His younger brother, who has remained in the village caring for their aging father and mentally ill sister, resents the elder son's sudden prominence and questions whether he deserves to lead the final rites. The film explores tensions between family obligation and personal ambition as the brothers confront their different choices and sacrifices.
