Set in Darjeeling, the story follows Sanjay, a modest tour guide who falls in love with a visiting young woman named Priya, only for the couple to be separated when her father is arrested. Their romance is upended when Sanjay dies in a car accident due to an error by the god of death, who must find a way to correct the mistake by placing his soul into another man's body. Sanjay then has to navigate a new identity, family and past crimes tied to that body while trying to reconnect with Priya.
