Set in 1877, two decades after the 1857 uprising, this Hindi period drama follows a young royal who returns to India after being educated in London and becomes drawn into a covert resistance movement led by a courtesan and her mentor, who are secretly working against British rule. As he falls for the courtesan, his personal feelings become entangled with the group's underground fight for freedom. Directed by Muzaffar Ali, the film marked the acting debut of one of its leads.
