Two struggling photographers set up a studio in Bombay and get hired by the editor of a scandal-focused magazine to investigate shady dealings between a municipal official and rival builders competing for lucrative construction contracts. While shooting photos for an unrelated contest, they accidentally capture evidence of a killing, pulling them into an escalating web of corruption, cover-ups, and comic chaos involving businessmen, bureaucrats, and the press. The 1983 Hindi comedy uses this farcical mystery to satirize corruption across Indian politics, media, and business.
