An Indian adaptation of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet set in Varanasi, the film follows two young people from rival families—the Kashyap and Mishra clans—who control local land through organized crime. When conflict between the families intensifies, a young man and woman from opposing sides fall in love despite the violent rivalry surrounding them.
