Isai is a 2015 Tamil musical psychological thriller that follows the tense relationship between Vetriselvan, a revered veteran film composer, and A. K. Shiva, his ambitious protégé who rises rapidly in the industry through innovative music. As Shiva's success grows and he builds a life and career of his own, his mentor's resentment sets off a campaign to undermine him. Written, directed and scored by S. J. Suryah, who also plays the lead, the film also stars Sathyaraj and Sulagna Panigrahi.
