This 1987 Gulzar-directed Hindi drama, adapted from Subodh Ghosh's Bengali story, centers on a divorced couple who unexpectedly cross paths in a train station waiting room during a rainstorm. Through flashbacks, the film traces the course of their marriage, complicated by the husband's continuing bond with another woman even after his wedding, and the strains this creates between the two. Set within India's art-house film tradition, it explores memory, unresolved feelings, and the choices that shaped their separate lives.

Where to watch in USA

We checked the streaming catalogues and it isn’t on any service we cover — in any country, not just yours. Films leave and return, so this can change.

We check JioHotstar, Eros Now, Sun NXT, Prime Video, ZEE5 and 13 others. If it is streaming somewhere we don’t read, it won’t show up here — tell us and we’ll add it.
