This 1999 Hindi romantic drama, directed by P. Vasu, follows Surjit, who is brutally humiliated and later killed by the powerful Thakur Gajendra Singh after seeking a marriage alliance between their families. Before dying, Surjit demands that his two sons one day marry Thakur's daughter and niece, forcing the proud Thakur to come pleading for the match himself. Raised by their aunt, the sons grow up separated and later reunite to pursue this vow, even as the Thakur pushes forward other marriage plans for the girls.
