Hawaizaada

Set during British colonial rule in India, this drama follows a directionless young man in Bombay who falls for a dancer and, after being cast out by his family, becomes assistant to an eccentric scientist secretly working on a flying machine based on ancient Indian aeronautical texts. Their efforts, hampered by lack of funds and British suspicion, form the emotional and scientific core of the story, loosely drawing on the disputed claim that a real Bombay resident built and flew such a craft in 1895. The film stars Ayushmann Khurrana, Mithun Chakraborty and Pallavi Sharda, and was directed by Vibhu Puri.
