This Malayalam mystery comedy follows two celebrated lawyer partners, Hari and Krishnan, who together run a large legal firm and take on the murder defense of a deaf-mute woodcutter accused of killing a man named Guptan. While investigating the case, both lawyers become romantically drawn to Meera, a woman connected to the victim, which tests their long-standing partnership even as they work to uncover the truth behind Guptan's death and expose the relatives responsible. Released during Onam in 1998, the film paired two of Malayalam cinema's biggest stars and became a major box-office hit that year.
