This 1991 Tamil romantic comedy follows Manohar, a schoolteacher still grieving the loss of a past love, whose mischievous circle of friends often gets into trouble flirting with local women. After one such incident involving an army officer's daughter, Kalyani, the friends grow resentful of Manohar's scolding and hatch a prank involving fake love letters to embarrass him. As misunderstandings pile up between Manohar and Kalyani, the story follows the fallout from the friends' scheme and its effect on the budding romance.
