Veera

This 1994 Tamil romantic comedy follows Muthuveerappan, a carefree young man from a village who wins over and secretly marries a musician's daughter named Devi, only to be forced into earning money in Madras after a family debt threatens his mother. Believing Devi has died in a flood, he builds a new life and career under the stage name Veera, eventually marrying another woman, Roopa, before discovering that Devi is actually alive, leaving him torn between two marriages he must now conceal. Directed by Suresh Krissna and starring Rajinikanth, Meena and Roja, it was a remake of a Telugu film and became a commercial success despite mixed initial reception.
