A struggling television host, frustrated at his lack of career success and unable to confess his feelings for a fellow anchor he admires, holds the divine responsible for his troubles and ends up in a direct confrontation with God. In response, he is granted temporary control over the universe for ten days so he can attempt to run things better himself, a challenge that pulls him deeper into his workplace rivalries and his pursuit of the woman he loves. The film follows the chaos and lessons that unfold as he grapples with the power he has been given.
