A socially awkward young man, overlooked at home and unlucky in love with a neighbor who is already dating someone else, impulsively wishes to vanish after a humiliating public rejection. When he actually turns invisible, he begins using his new power to spy on the couple, get revenge, and win the woman's affection, setting off a chain of chaotic and increasingly public incidents that draw media frenzy and police attention.
