A principled bank employee grows increasingly frustrated by the small-scale corruption and dishonesty he sees around him, while his wife urges him to be more pragmatic and less confrontational for the sake of their family. When a minor act of overcharging pushes him past his breaking point, he begins forcibly confronting various dishonest figures in his community, setting himself on a collision course with the authorities. The 2007 Tamil drama is a remake of director Nishikant Kamat's own Marathi film, which was itself inspired by an American film about a man's violent reaction to societal frustrations.
