Set in Mumbai, the story follows a withdrawn painter who begins a brief affair with a visiting American photographer, then becomes drawn into video diaries left behind by the previous tenant of his new flat. A laundry worker with hopes of breaking into the film industry crosses paths with the photographer, forming an unlikely friendship as their separate lives and social worlds intersect across the city.
