A police inspector and a female sub-inspector fall in love while working together, but their relationship is tested when the inspector's investigation leads to the conviction of a trade union leader for murder—a crime the sub-inspector believes he did not commit. She must choose between supporting her husband's investigation and fighting to prove her friend's innocence.
