After a traffic accident kills everyone in a vehicle except for a young child, a local villager named Rangannayana takes responsibility for raising the boy, whom he names Appu. As Appu grows up under Rangannayana's care and teachings, he eventually embarks on a search to find his biological parents, seeking out a specific person he believes can serve as a bridge between himself and God.
