In a small Maharashtrian village, a young cowherd claims to have witnessed a vision of a Hindu deity, and word of the sighting quickly spreads. As local youths and a sensation-seeking journalist turn the claim into a rallying point for a new temple, the community rapidly transforms into a bustling pilgrimage site, even as one elder figure worries about the deeper costs of this sudden commercial and religious boom. The story satirizes how faith, media, and local politics intersect to reshape a sleepy rural town under the pressures of modernization.
