Darlings follows Badru, a woman trapped in a violent marriage to her alcoholic husband Hamza, as she repeatedly tries to reform him while dealing with tensions in their crowded housing complex. When his abuse continues despite her efforts, she and her mother begin taking matters into their own hands, testing how far she will go for change and safety. The 2022 Hindi-language black comedy marked the directorial debut of Jasmeet K. Reen and the producing debut of lead actress Alia Bhatt, alongside Shefali Shah, Vijay Varma, and Roshan Mathew.
