This 1996 Hindi thriller follows Priya, a young woman trapped in a violent marriage to the controlling and dangerous Vikram. After a storm during a boat outing gives her a chance to escape, she flees to Shimla and begins a new life, eventually falling for a man named Raj despite her fear of revealing her past. When Vikram learns she survived, he sets out to track her down, threatening the new life and relationship she has built.
