This 2001 Hindi drama follows Raj and Priya, a wealthy married couple who turn to surrogacy after Priya loses the ability to have children. To keep the arrangement discreet from Raj's traditional family, they enlist a young sex worker named Madhu to conceive and carry Raj's child, and the film follows the emotional complications that arise among the three as the pregnancy progresses. The story became notable for tackling the then-taboo subject of surrogate motherhood in Indian cinema.

Where to watch in USA

We checked the streaming catalogues and it isn’t on any service we cover — in any country, not just yours. Films leave and return, so this can change.

We check JioHotstar, Eros Now, Sun NXT, Prime Video, ZEE5 and 13 others. If it is streaming somewhere we don’t read, it won’t show up here — tell us and we’ll add it.
