Set in a village near Pollachi, this 1992 Tamil drama follows Thavasi, known as Chinna Gounder, a respected landlord who inherits his family's traditional role of settling village disputes and clashes with his scheming brother-in-law Sakkara Gounder over a temple land fraud. The story also traces his tempestuous romance and marriage with Deivanai, a spirited village woman, amid ongoing conflict with Sakkara Gounder, who continues plotting against him. The film blends village-based drama, comedy, and family tension centered on justice, loyalty, and rivalry.
