Set against Mumbai's underworld, this drama follows Mumtaz, a young woman displaced by communal violence who is pushed by her uncle into working as a dancer at a bar to support them. Her life becomes entangled with a local gangster, leading her into marriage and motherhood while she struggles to shield her children from the criminal and exploitative world she knows too well. As circumstances change, she must confront new hardships to protect her family's future.
