Chalo Dilli is a 2011 Hindi comedy-drama directed by Shashant Shah, following Mumbai-based banker Mihika Banerjee after she misses her flight and must find another way to reach Delhi to meet her husband. She ends up traveling by road and train alongside a stranger named Manu Gupta, and after her money is stolen she is forced into an ordinary-class journey through small towns and cities across India. The story, inspired by the Hollywood comedy Planes, Trains and Automobiles, was filmed across Mumbai, Delhi and Jaipur and stars Lara Dutta and Vinay Pathak, with Akshay Kumar in a guest role.
