This Malayalam film traces three generations of a family beginning with a Communist activist killed during a 1948 political demonstration in Kerala, through his pregnant widow, and down to their descendants. The narrative spans from the 1980s to the present day, following the experiences of multiple women across different time periods and locations as they navigate fear and hardship in their lives.
