Bombay Talkies brings together four separate short films by four different Hindi filmmakers—Karan Johar, Dibakar Banerjee, Zoya Akhtar, and Anurag Kashyap—released together as a single anthology in 2013. The project marked a century since the birth of Indian cinema and referenced the name of a historic Indian film studio from the 1930s. It later had a showing at that year's Cannes Film Festival.
