This 2014 Indian drama, directed by Raj Amit Kumar and inspired by a Faiz Ahmad Faiz poem, weaves together two parallel abduction stories. In New York, a Muslim extremist seizes a progressive Muslim academic planning to kill him, while in New Delhi a woman hiding her lesbian identity abducts her bisexual partner hoping to keep her close. Both storylines explore captivity, coercion, and violence as expressions of a broader fight against oppression and lack of freedom.
