This 2008 Indian crime thriller, directed by Subhash Ghai, follows a young man sent from Afghanistan to carry out a bombing in Delhi during Independence Day festivities. Posing as a survivor of communal violence, he gains the confidence of an Urdu teacher and his activist wife in the mixed community of Chandni Chowk, which leads him to question the mission he has been assigned. The story examines themes of extremism and coexistence as he weighs his orders against what he witnesses around him.
