Directed by Zahir Raihan

This 1966 Bengali film adapts a traditional folk narrative from the Hindu mythological text Mansamangal, centered on two merchant families whose children, Lakhindar and Behula, are betrothed at birth. When the goddess Mansa, angered by one family's lack of devotion, curses the couple, conflict erupts between divine will and human attempts to prevent fate.

Where to watch in USA

We checked the streaming catalogues and it isn’t on any service we cover — in any country, not just yours. Films leave and return, so this can change.

We check JioHotstar, Eros Now, Sun NXT, Prime Video, ZEE5 and 13 others. If it is streaming somewhere we don’t read, it won’t show up here — tell us and we’ll add it.
