This 1966 Hindi romantic drama follows Jeetendra, a crusading Calcutta journalist who loses his job after exposing unsafe conditions at a mine, and his tangled relationships with two sisters, Sunita and Amita, the latter being his newspaper's owner. A chance encounter saves Sunita from suicide and sparks a romance, while Amita, unaware of this bond, develops her own feelings for Jeeten as he continues digging into corporate corruption tied to the mine and a collapsed bridge. Set against the backdrop of the Indo-China war and mounting family and business complications, the story builds toward a dramatic resolution of the sisters' rivalry and Jeeten's fate.
