Set in Bombay's criminal underworld, the story follows Azaad, an enforcer working for gangster Lala Jamal Khan, who saves a woman named Meena from a rival gang and helps her pursue a career as a singer. As Meena rises to fame under the guidance of music director Dhirendra, Azaad silently harbors feelings for her, unaware that Dhirendra may share similar affections. Meanwhile, Azaad faces mounting danger from a rival don's men who have been sent to eliminate him.
