This 1978 Hindi romantic drama, produced by Rajshri Productions and directed by Hiren Nag, follows Arun, a proud, wealthy student whose ego is bruised when a modest classmate named Lily outperforms him academically. Their initial rivalry gradually turns into mutual admiration and love, even as their differing family backgrounds raise concerns among those around them. Loosely inspired by Erich Segal's novel Love Story, the film explores how their relationship deepens despite social differences and an unexpected health crisis that tests them both.
