This 1986 Malayalam experimental film follows a young man who abandons his planned trip after spotting a corpse that seems familiar, setting off to trace the dead man's identity through a network of friends, fellow musicians and old comrades. His search becomes a journey through towns in Kerala, gathering fragmented and conflicting memories of the deceased as a musician, activist and troubled loner, while the film weaves in the region's history of labor unrest and political struggle. The narrative builds toward the group's plan to travel together to inform the man's mother of her son's death.

Where to watch in USA

We checked the streaming catalogues and it isn’t on any service we cover — in any country, not just yours. Films leave and return, so this can change.

We check JioHotstar, Eros Now, Sun NXT, Prime Video, ZEE5 and 13 others. If it is streaming somewhere we don’t read, it won’t show up here — tell us and we’ll add it.
