This 1993 Malayalam drama, directed by Sibi Malayil and written by Dennis Joseph, follows Johnny and Annie, a couple who met growing up in an orphanage and later married and raised four children despite financial hardship and Johnny's drinking. After a hit-and-run accident involving one of their sons leads to a hospital test, Annie is diagnosed with advanced leukemia, setting off a chain of events that forces the family to confront an uncertain future. The story, adapted from an American film, became one of the most popular and acclaimed Malayalam melodramas of its era.
