A Bengali social drama about a man from a lower caste community whose newborn child is secretly swapped with a zamindar's stillborn son. Years later, fate forces him into a position where he must perform the very funeral rites that bind his community to their social role—but for his own biological child, now raised as the zamindar's heir.
