This 1985 Hindi-language adaptation of the Tarzan legend follows Ruby, a wealthy young woman who joins her widowed father on a trip into India's deep jungles in search of a lost tribe. During the journey she is saved from danger by a jungle-raised, ape-like man known as Tarzan, and the two develop a bond despite his inability to communicate in any spoken language, much to the irritation of D.K., the man her father wants her to marry. Events take a turn when Tarzan is captured to be used as a circus performer, complicating the budding romance and setting up the film's central conflict.
